deaf
by
JE Genobili
does it matter who is right?
does it matter who is wrong?
in this deaf world of might,
nothing's so visible than wrong
does it count to hear?
is it wrong to talk?
a mile of silence to tear,
a tower of patience to broke
a long wide patience to bear
an inch long words to say,
comes misinterpretations so near
and a long receipt of gratitude to pay
why is everybody hurt?
in this deaf world of might
in this narrow minded earth
where nothing's so unseen than right
does it matter who is wrong?
in this deaf world of might,
nothing's so visible than wrong
does it count to hear?
is it wrong to talk?
a mile of silence to tear,
a tower of patience to broke
a long wide patience to bear
an inch long words to say,
comes misinterpretations so near
and a long receipt of gratitude to pay
why is everybody hurt?
in this deaf world of might
in this narrow minded earth
where nothing's so unseen than right
