We were meant to be
So I thought at a young age
Fate turned my world against me
My heart broken, torn, and put in a cage
Our worlds went on with no connection
My days and night never fulfilled
Love and warmth I sought for affection
Relationship after relationship turned over and spilled
Then one night came the call
To see once again the handsome face
Your body standing proud and tall
Again, I found my destination place

For whatever reason, the line "love and warmth I sought for affection" keeps repeating in my head. I like it.

This is a theme often explored and really adequately put into words. I feel the story. I have been there myself.
