Poets care about the future of mankind, the animals, the rain forest, the rivers, the ocean, the lakes, the air, the soil and anything that exists, while most are just cynical and don't move a finger to protect what we have and ensure a better tomorrow.
Poets always do things with social responsibility and fairness while most just look at their own benefit, leaving the rest behind.
