Unintentional letters

by Toby Ryan

Gentle is the breath which enters lungs darkened with tar. Painful is the crash of cars breaking the barrier of bones from a far. Are words more important than a life?
Unintentional letters scattered in a mess of correction. Eyes off of what needs attention.
The air seems thicker. Time is quicker. Scarlet gleaming from the suns rays ricochet on the pieces of glass that find a line to pass. Into the dark. Into the deep. The quiet mountain becomes louder with an eruption just out of reach as tears burn everything it touches. Apologies seldom fill the void of loss. As the dust settles eyes focus on a cross. Paramedics make way through the moss, dirt and debris. Scarlet and Black play together like children whom are free. The particles from which we make began to form a new. We know not of why they form a new on the cut up old shoe found peaceful and alone. Emotions stirred the heart races to third and before the home run, we find it's too late my dear sweet hun.
