My Soulmate

by Dawn Wetherell

Yesterday the skies were grey as I sat
thinking of you. Today they are so blue and
I'm still missing you.
\Last night was extra cold for your warmth
far away, and this morning even colder.
\As I sit and listen to the wind as it
whistle through the trees, and oh! the birds
they sing.
\my darling! how different it would be, if
in your arms held so tight I could be.
There's no measure for the love we share
or treasures so rich in gold.
\Our love is an everlasting love, that no
matter what the day may bring the loving
bond we share will overcome it.
