Why is it so, that the good always die young?
In the heart of Cornhill, we lost another one.
Officer Thomas Lindsey, paid the ultimate price,
On that cold and rainy night, he sacraficed his life.
He made a traffic stop, a car which seemed suspicious,
Someone commited a senseless act, which was malicious.
A shot rang out with intent to kill,
Officer down! as he lie still.
Cut short was his life of honor and pride,
To serve and to protect, were the words he lived by.
He wore his badge proudly for all to see,
He was a 5 year veteran of the U.P.D.
