Bliss, Ambivalence, and Procrastination

by Howard Robert Manser

Bliss is a goal, a state of homeostasis.
No worries or qualms, on a regular basis.
Harmonious delight amid endless enjoyment
Emotional involvement sans cerebral employment
\Ambivalence, who cares about that?
Not me, my friends, not even the cat.
I don't have a position. My feelings aren't mixed.
Emotionally speaking, my passion's been nixed.
\Procrastination, are you ready for this?
Should be dealt with tomorrow if the feeling persists.
Let's spend today in amidst shilly-shallies.
And reserve tomorrow for precise dillydallies.
\If I had a goal, an objective in life,
It would be, without things, money, or strife.
The three major highways to my destination
Are...bliss, ambivalence, and procrastination.
