I Remember

I remember the days your mama had to to go thru before you arrived
The pain was beyond anything I can ever imagine
I remember the oath I swore that I'd ensure you'd never break your mamas heart
Coz I felt her pain..
I remember the moment you arrived,
I remember the joy I felt
I remember the joy on your mama's face to hold you for the first time .
I remember being reluctant to cut the cord...
I remember you crying alot..
I remember dancing with you in my arms to the beat of Salima
I remember humming hyms to make you sleep
I remember you not going to sleep unless it was me near you swaying you to sleep
I remember your mama saying you are dady's girl
You remember me going away
You remember me not being there
You remember crying for the icecream with no one to buy it for you
You remember seeing other kids with thier daddies and you looking silly because I was not there
You remember seeing me only once a month or so
You remember calling me and the phone ringing out...
I remember now, you can remember....
