I have just read some poetry on line.
Sad is not an adequate description for this rhyme.
People suffering in real time,
lost in relationships both brutal and failing.
I am empathetic but some seriously need
professional treatment in order to succeed.
When you read the willingness to suffer,
It makes you sad and sorry such love exists
hovering in the corner of fear and loneliness.

Rhyme is weak, theme or story is not clear or well expressed. Poetic flow is absent. For instance - 'lost in relationships both brutal and failing'. What does it mean? Where is poetic flow? Needs more to form a good poem.

I seldom rhyme so no problem,I never worry about poetic flow,It is ideas I am after, People are writing about living in painful relationship and doing nothing about that, so "lost in relationship both brutal and failing" fits! This may not have any value but the purpose of the poem was to say wake up and do something about your suffering!

I'm saying the American poetry movement is all broken hearts and horse shit. Of course that's what you would read. And most of it isn't even in real time...it's recycled memories from people's pasts posted on this site for all to see and ooh and ah at all the shit they went through and how far they've come. And furthermore, Mr. Paonessa I dislike poems about poems.
