Take Them Back

Take them back, from the streets that are calling their names.
Take them back, hold them in your arms and reclaim them again.
They are our future...without them we're gone, never to appear
Take them back, we want to live on again and be here.
They are our children whom we love more than life.
Take them back and let their futures be long and bright.
We've put them in the hands of others who don't care.
Since when did our children come to such dispair?
We have to turn them around and teach them what's right.
We have to stand up and say we won't go out without a fight!
Back in the day, there was respect and honor for one another
We came out of slavery, you, me, my sister and our brother.
We were oppressed, degraded and left to endure
Because they told us we were dirty, ignorant and impure.
Take our children back and give them all the love that we can...
But first of all, take them back and stand up to the game plan.
Take our children back so that all is not lost...
Take them back, for God's sake and our's, no matter what the cost!
