Living In Reverse

Pretending to be strong Is only a mask to hide,
Everything that is going wrong.
Smiles in vain,
Tears hidden by the rain,
Words like poison Leaving searing deadly pain
Weakness is the key that binds,
In sorrow my soul eternally shines.
This isn’t wrong, this is the way,
This is the way of my life and mind.
Staring into a twisted mirror
Seeing the opposite of all that is and will be
This pretentious false vision of me
Soon this will all be a fading memory.

Everything I write comes from deep within. You will not find any poems posted on love, sunshine or rainbows. I do not write to please anyone. I write as my outlet. A friend told me about this site and since I was getting such great reviews on my work I decided to give it a try.

Could have been better in the formal poetic verse.

I truly appreciate your honesty. I get so caught up and lost in my writing usually I don't think, I just write. Something to work on. Thank you again.
