She is everlasting.
Whithered and dying, clinging to tainted soil,
Forever in darkness, enchanting the faint starlight.
Beautiful decay, sweet brittleness.
Roots straying into the unknown,
Encompassed in a blackened, charred, shell.
Spring has forsaken her, light...abolished her,
Water is no match for polluted tears.
Twisted and gnarled is the pain.
Branches scream of complete terror and hopelessness,
Trapped in a muted dance of death.
Leaves scattered all around the shadows,
Colorless, they bled out long ago.
Silhouetted against the midnight,
High and broken over the land.
Tilted, she leans as if to lie down...
Sleep eternally, mighty queen.
Lasting memories you shall endure,
Immortality in the heartbeat of lost civilization.
