Blue Skies

 Blue Skies
The powder baby blue, submissive to the eyes,
Surrounding heaven way, now caressed by the sky.
Touched by the hands of an angel, just before I stray,
Reminding me of my true love, who loves me more each day.
I called her sweet Virginia, for the reason she was.
She told me of her love, for her last word was, because.
I did not realize then what a wondrous women Virginia could be,
Until that fatal day, her life had left this world for a place I could not see.
I torment for my loss when I think of my sweet.
Now living in my past thoughts, that constantly repeats.
In the coming of my sleeping dreams, it brings her spirit by my side.
Thinking of the times we laughed together and shared the times, we cried.
I know now, into the baby blue sky her soul has raised.
I feel her lasting presence in my new life, which I have devised.
It is so right within my heart that my essence suffers the pain to cry.
Do not be concerned as she still lives before my eyes in the powered blue sky.

Eloquent poem dealing with the loss of true love. I enjoyed that it wasn't melancholy. It was a sweet way to remember the past.
