Creatures of the night

The sun begins to set on the low horizon,
in a few moments all light will be gone.
Creatures of the night,unite,
we breathe a new life tonight.
so follow me into the embrace of darkness ,
it always starts with such an innocent kiss.
we got lost so long ago,
sucked in along the flow.
the ocean seemed so peaceful when standing on the beach,
but once we waded in we were dragged beneath the sea.
only at night do the waters receed,
for a short while our souls our freed.
look how we bask in the moonlight,
as we sing our praises into the cold night.
being unseen is so serene,
we can be who we were meant to be.
pillars of light dancing on an empty stage,
this hidden beauty,no words can explaine.
in the bossom of darkness i felt my heart for the first time,
the sweet irony of this truth is simply sublime.
creatures of night,united for life,
see us fading away at the first coming of light.
we have returned back in with the flow,
but i can still hear the night calling us back home
