Be Careful What You Wish For

I sit back, close my eyes and ponder
About what lies ahead as the mind wanders
Our current affairs still remain a cloudy blur
There are plenty of opportunities.  Try not to squander
I wish I could see the world and travel
Rather than my insecurities starting to unravel
There's so little time with such land to admire
Be thankful and continue to aspire
Don't be afraid to fail. Have no fear
Moral support is too distant, not always near
Obey most of your elders. Listen, don't hear
Adapt to the hand dealt and shed no tears
Have the drive to make a daily contribution
To dismiss evil karma. Maybe my retribution
Magical genies don't appear behind any door
You can go look but be careful what you wish for
But if you can't find it, life goes on
Wish upon a star or the break of dawn
Or make no wishes at all. Soon to be paid in full
Look both ways, but be careful

I enjoyed this, it is a very nice piece with the message that to me says never give up on what you want just be careful how you go about getting it.

Advices we need, not always do we heed. Pleasure and pain, loathe the pressure and that gain! I loved this poem...keep on writing.

Spiritual device.

Not really into the karma thing, so it was kind of flat for me.
