A Summers' Tale

a vast open space filled with an ocean of warmth
the song of birds swimming in sky
a concherto of strings soothe a wandering mind
on a hillside she sleeps next to me

cool breeze floats upon unrepentant skin
submerged in a bed of green
natures scent rolls over spirit still
she sleeps on a hillside next to me

caressed by summers endless touch
fingers entwined beneath the blue
forever to dance in depths of dream
next to me on a hillside she sleeps still
