Why?

a friend of mine writes stories
and in the stories that she writes
the characters did the things that
she wanted to do in life
that's why she grabs her pen
and stains the paper's whiteness
She pours her heart's content
till there's nothing but blackness

While my best friend writes poetry
 one time I asked her why
She explained the reasons fairly:
I write to let out the pain
I write to feel happy
and I come up with the best poems
when I'm feeling angry

but to me...it's slightly different
my best poems are usually written
at four o'clock in the morning
as I enjoy the fading darkness
as the dawn spreads its wing
but one thing I know for sure
My poems are my heart's cure
simple , raw and pure
