Angel of my Hell

The devilish demon rebel,

Angel of my heavenly Hell,

It boldly bleeds my heart to swell,

With the soft humming of its knell,

The Archangel Gabriel!

you are discussing the angel of life AND death. A very profound yet clever poem. Excellent work, Ashley!

Thank you much, I don't know if it's a good point of view, but it's my point of view and if one so chooses to disagree well then to each his own! :-)

So, I'm all thinking demon rebel angel, it's got to be lucifer, right? From my understanding, and hey, I'm no authority on religious matters, Gabriel wasn't rebellious, devilish, or involved with hell...Can you give help me out with the interpretation? I'm confused.

Gabriel, is considered to be many things in many different religions and cultures, this is simply my view on what I prefer to call "the angel of death" among many other things! In my eyes Gabriel is a balance between good and bad, it can bring about bad news for it could mean the mark of death, but on the other hand could also bring good news. This one is controversial, for all people have their on views about Gabriel, this is simply from my perspective! Thanks for the review none-the-less! :-)

Oh and Gabriel instigated wars, so if indeed an "Angel of strictly God" then why would God condone such pointless atrocities? Just some food for thought...

Like I said, I was just trying to understand. That was my motivation for asking. Please don't ask me to debate the intricacies of fairy tales, because I can't. I just didn't get it, so being me, I asked. Thanks for the explanation. BTW, Gabriel instigated wars at the behest of God, not just willy-nilly own his own. Now, why did god want to kill things he made? I have no clue. Just one of the millions of things about the myth that doesn't really jive.

Exactly, nobody truly knows but the ones that lived in that time and they are long gone! I've always considered Gabirel a sign of good and evil to an exten! ;-)
