Paint Me A Picture

When you paint me a picture of the deep blue sea
You paint me a picture of what a love should be
When you paint me a picture of a beautiful sunset
You paint me a picture of the night we met
When you paint me a picture of a red rose
You paint me a picture of the way our love grows
When you paint me a picture of flowers in a meadow
You paint me a picture of how our children grow
When you paint me a picture of a misty rain
you paint me a picture of our heartache and pain
When you paint me a picture of a snowy day
You paint a picture of our grandchildren at play
When you paint a picture of a starry sky
You paint me a picture of our lives passing by
When you paint what you read and see
You paint the beginning and end of you and me

I guess this was written to show the things that i see and everyone sees as love in our lives on a daily basis whether we are young or old and the different things that are a symbol of different kinds of love among each and every person alive When we are young its a vision of things unseen...all we know is what we are shown....as we grow older...we have lived it...what we show our children is what they show their own...it is a reflection of us and our life even as our time draws near and ends.
