About A Girl

I miss the colours of the outside world
I miss looking in your eyes and calling you my girl
If only I had a way to get you back to me
If only I could open your eyes to make you see
We were so in love and forever young
But now we've grown apart and our hearts are strung
I mess holding you in my arms
We were invincible and nothing could cause us harm
But now all I want to do
Is lay in the summer grass next to you
Because I'm caught in the future looking back at the past
At a forever love that was meant to last
