Pillow Prayer

As i prepare to end another day
and i kneel beside this bed
i join two hands together and pray
giving thanks for the roof above my head
\many may wish for wealth
i have my family by my side
i am thankful for my health
and you lord have been my guide
\for those who may be sick or poor
struggling through everyday strife
we pray for these needs,peace,a meal,a search for a cure
and the search for a better way of life
\when i awaken in the oncoming hours
to face the challenges of the new day
bless me with yor heavenly powers
to lead me on my way
