Forsaken
by
Keith White
My heart is taken.
Your love I had forsaken.
Your demons have taken my mind.
I am searching but can not find
Though these doors of broken homes.
The haunting feelings of those cold tomes.
Life is fading and forever gon.
The minds that were left stopped not wanting to go on.
So why do dreams haunt me at night.
mylong lost lovers that died in the fight.
Losing them forever was just not right.

The poem very nicely expresses how one languishes after the loss of one's beloved.
