Mistakes

The nights get so cold and old.
Waiting statns grip to take hold.
why do you cry when I leave at night.
Is it because there is no light.
Why do I come back and your always gone.
Is it because your afraid of the dawn.
Why does it feel like i'm not alone.
Is it the horrible mistakes for which I must atone.
For these mistakes I do not lie.
It's time for me to go underground.
Not even wanting to hear a sound.
