The Rain
by
Doina Mican
Rain comes,
Hasty, jittery,
To wash away the noise
And the souls,
The smell of food,
And that of gasoline;
To wash away the wrongs,
And regrets.
Rain falls in a hurry,
Weaving a watery linen,
Chilling the sky,
And the groggy city;
The doleful faces,
With bitter smiles.

I can feel the rain

It reminded me a little of some lines from Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver...'Some day a real rain will come down and wash all the trash off the side walk'' or something like that. This I enjoyed anyway, the power of rain :)
