Magic

Magic
Magic touches the air
as I kiss her cheeks
"may I walk you home after class?
I ask
Holding her biology books
Taken away
by the chemistries
to the breeze
blowing me away
We walk
We talk
Sun glare
in her eyes
Reflecting into mine
Our fingers lock
Such a perfect fit
Nursing these emotions
in need of her medicines
The leaves wave us hi
as we pass them by
The birds sing a lullaby
of her and me
in the trees
The clouds form smiles
in the sky
While the tides
wash us into each others lives
Watching the sun fall
slowly back into bed
and I swear
In the back of my head
"We were meant to be"
For this feeling feels so
natural
As we kiss
at her doorsteps
good-bye
and form magic...

I could see every step you took. The imagery was so vivid.

Oh, yes, the first flush of young love! How sweetly expressed here!
