Missing you
Every second,
I can feel your presence,
Even if you’re gone,
I can smell your essence.
It’s maddening,
And truly painful,
Like waking from a dream,
That was too beautiful.
It’s true, you know,
That love is pain,
Cause when it’s gone,
The hurt remains.
The joy and laughter
Suddenly seem foreign,
Feelings shatter,
Leaving your heart crawling.
It’s amazing,
What love can do!
Yet now I’m stuck,
Missing you!
I can feel your presence,
Even if you’re gone,
I can smell your essence.
It’s maddening,
And truly painful,
Like waking from a dream,
That was too beautiful.
It’s true, you know,
That love is pain,
Cause when it’s gone,
The hurt remains.
The joy and laughter
Suddenly seem foreign,
Feelings shatter,
Leaving your heart crawling.
It’s amazing,
What love can do!
Yet now I’m stuck,
Missing you!

As stated love is powerful, but is it only someone else we can love? What of the self that is with you 24-7? If we love ourself, how can love go missing when another is gone?
