Stand Still And Look Pretty

I was "built" to be resilient,
To be "solid and strong".
This depression and weakness,
Just do not belong!
My anxiety level is HIGH,
Yet I've been through worse.
To have this much stress,
I find it utterly perverse!
I'm "built" tough as nails,
It takes a lot to "break" me;
That would be a disaster,
Should a "break" ever come to be.
“Stand still and look pretty”,
That's what they say;
But I have never been able,
To live my life that way.
I was "built" to be tough,
To stand still and look pretty.
Is just a little bit little rough,
But I don't need your pity!

Have you ever felt like you were supposed to just stand around and be "female" - just "stand still and look pretty" and let every one else take it all one. Well, a couple of weeks ago a heard a song called "Stand Still Look Pretty" and I think it describes me prefectly!!!!
