I Am
I am the elusive figure engulfed before you.
The sounds above silent cries release me.
I am the creation formed by actions unknown.
Combinations of the unrehearsed take form.
I know the darkness, I know the light.
My words flow like echoes throughout this vision.
I am the power, I am the poet!
The yet-unknown legend of scripture.
Dare challenge these winds I bring forth.
Dare enter the session. My art form has evolved beyond flames.
I have risen above clouds, I now shine beyond the sun.
Do not follow me into the mind!
Just observe my dance, that I dance in this trance.
This is my story, the legacy of my glory.
My formula for a potion like word convection.
My thought obsession beyond perception.
I am the dream constructed through time.
The genuine phenomenon of grand effusiveness.
The golden winged phantom of knowledge.
I am the power, I am the poet!

I was a young confident poet at the time I wrote 'I AM.' I wanted to sound nothing average. I felt my poetry should weigh deep in the mind of the reader. Every poem should make a person say 'Wow!', I thought. I wanted to amaze and inspire. I imagined myself as an old wise wizard as I used to write my lines. I wanted to paint fantasies with words. Deep passionate visions. Like something out of a dream..
