Could we?
by
Edwin Winrow
Could we by chance sit and peer at the rising sun together?
Or by chance cuddle in the mornings of bad weather?
Is their first the chance of us becoming one?
To partake of life’s finer things, that would be fun.
Could we by chance just sit and peer at the stars and the moon
While we sit let us listen to natures enchanting tunes.
Can we go to the ocean to listen to the waves and watch the seagulls fly by?
This to me is heaven, do you want to try?
As I sit and wonder, wait and stand-by
I ponder while stock stilled looking at the sky.
I ask myself, could we by chance?
Observe the beauty of life and living, as we song & dance……

Just thinking of a love, long lost. Maybe a wish that we were still as one.Was such a wonderful affair.

A poem I wrote once when I had for a special lady. Since then our love, lust and living have banished. The poem was for her and always will be, she was a very good motivator with much love for me and my work.

Stilled should be still and song should be sing. Love the romance in your words. Well thought out , stated and well done.

The poem was very romantic...it filled me with good memories of my love for my hubby! There are some small typos but overall I liked the poem.
