Absent Angels In A Battlefield Of Future's Fire.

Sweet seduction ushered in the impurest;
A mindless light of which you dimmed.
Forgive me father I have sinned -
and become the devil's tourist.
A fire burning deep within;
Hearts, minds, bodies disregarded.
Hear the prayer of the broken hearted;
As we hate the war begins.
Love peace; love hate.
Lets join together and together
we'll cease and ease the pointless deaths
that leaving us gaping...
With our mouths wide open as wonder and awe...
Tell me; what is war?
When I've got nothing worth fighting for.

WE HAVE NO DOG IN THAT FIGHT ...BUT THEY SEND OUR SONS TO DIE.. SO SAD.

I really like this poem. Parts are very wonderfully written. I especially enjoyed lines 11-14, the last two lines made me think of that old 70s song, War... I didn't like that part. Your poem is better than that song. I said confused because the poem starts out seduction, but I don't see how you are connecting that to the part about the destruction of war.
