Silent Cries
Unborn cries are never heard.
Silent death, no one speaks a word.
Little heart beating, growing so strong,
As the doctor says, "This won't take long."
Legs kicking, arms moving too.
It's been determined her eyes would be blue.
As the suction continues, her beating heart slows.
Baby fights to the end, she doesn't want to go.
Now that it's over you say, "Things will be fine."
But nightmares and thoughts will plague you in time.
Another child lost, suffering great pain.
How can this be, is the world insane?
Silent death, no one speaks a word.
Little heart beating, growing so strong,
As the doctor says, "This won't take long."
Legs kicking, arms moving too.
It's been determined her eyes would be blue.
As the suction continues, her beating heart slows.
Baby fights to the end, she doesn't want to go.
Now that it's over you say, "Things will be fine."
But nightmares and thoughts will plague you in time.
Another child lost, suffering great pain.
How can this be, is the world insane?
