OUTKAST

Never belonging, never accepted
always looked at as if my soul is corrupted

Fairly respectable, rarely responsible
a little stubborn,not not impossible

Acceptance of me is judged by beauty and looks
Not whether or not I have enough knowledge from books

"Unique" is the word to me
"A freek" is the word used by society
Sad to say this description is about me

The deepest desire of my heart is to be completely accepted
Not set apart

I know in my heart this can never be
I will never conform and no one can accept me for me
This is the curse I live with for my soul to be free

Everyday I am reminded of the truth that I don't fit in
This is a consequence of my own sin

Respect me is all I ask
Deliver  the truth
don't hide behind a mask

You may or may not like what you see
Never judge a book by its cover
 that is the key

If being unique makes me a freek
then just walk on past
No offense take, I will always be the OUTKAST
