"You Ask Me If I Love You"

by Saundra Revere

you ask me if I love you,
the answers in my eyes...
and each tear drop that falls,
will count the times Ive lied...
The hardest part will be leaving,
and saying goodbye to you...
I only know I don't love you,
like I used to...
I'm sorry if I hurt you,
I never wanted to...
for life's to short for hurting,
and life was meant for living...
and love was meant for giving,
the was I gave to you...
so if you'll please forgive me,
lord knows how hard I've tried...
I'll just say goodbye, and hide those tears I've cried.
