Stay Dog

by Jessica Mae Mounce

When I see you on the streets,
abonded and alone, like a warrior in battle.
Walking, surrounded by yourself
with no other to love.
Or when I see you in the park,
swimming in the stream
lieing in the sun
hoping, wishing you'll be next,
like a kid in a foster home.
I say when I see you everywhere
you sad, dirty creature of the Earth
who used to have a home,
and the love of people.
Come home with me.
End your depression.
Come home with me and be loved!
