MY CHILD

by Laurie Lynn Rosine

So young and innocent and full of anger My once loving son is now a stranger His actions and words they sting my heart How do I deal with this, where do I start My son is my life, my pride and joy How do I control such an angry young boy I try to be patient and do what is right While all day long I wish it were night Alone at last, he's tucked in his bed My mind goes back to the words that he said I love you mommy with a smile on his face Once again he's put me back in my place.
